Hi, I’m Eric — a travel hacker and casino comp junkie who’s visited 43 states and 33 countries (and counting). I created CardsAndComps to show you how I travel the world for (almost) free using credit card points, casino rewards, cruise perks, and a little strategy.

Whether you’re dreaming of your first free flight or just want to learn how comps and points work together, you’re in the right place.

How to Earn Caesars Diamond Plus Status Faster

Caesars Diamond Plus can provide valuable benefits, including waived resort fees at participating properties and additional benefits that vary by destination.

The challenge is earning the 25,000 Tier Credits required for Diamond Plus without putting more money at risk than necessary.

In this video, I explain how Caesars Tier Credits, promotional multipliers, and Daily Tier Credit Bonuses can work together. I also compare earning status in one day with spreading your play across multiple days.

Important update

This video explains the Daily Tier Credit Bonus structure available when it was recorded. Caesars has since reportedly eliminated Daily Tier Credit Bonuses at select properties, including Horseshoe Tunica, Harrah’s Gulf Coast, and Horseshoe Bossier City.

Before planning significant play, confirm whether the property still participates in the Daily Tier Credit Bonus program.

The CardsAndComps Tier Credit Planner now includes a switch that lets you remove the Daily Tier Credit Bonus from every calculation.

Caesars Diamond Plus Aftermath: What It Really Cost and What We Got

It is easy to calculate how many Tier Credits are required for Caesars Diamond Plus. The harder question is what happens when you attempt the strategy with real money in a real casino.

After using a Caesars Tier Credit Multiplier promotion to pursue Diamond Plus, I reviewed the complete experience—including the amount of play required, the financial results, the Tier Credits received, and what happened after the promotion.

This video provides the real-world follow-up:

The results demonstrate an important distinction: coin-in is not the same as the amount won or lost.

Casino results can vary significantly, even when two players use the same game, denomination, and strategy. A Tier Credit calculation can estimate the required action, but it cannot predict the final gambling result.

Use the current planning tools

Since these videos were published, CardsAndComps has added two free resources to make the strategy easier to evaluate:

Caesars Tier Credit Planner

Tier Credit Multiplier Tracker
Review reported Caesars 5X, 7X, and 10X events:

The planner also lets you turn off the Daily Tier Credit Bonus when evaluating a property that does not offer it.

These tools are for planning purposes only. Promotions and Caesars Rewards rules can change, and gambling results are unpredictable. Verify the current terms and never gamble more than you can afford to lose.

We took a 12-night Holland America Panama Canal Cruise aboard the ms Rotterdam and tracked every dollar we spent. Most people assume this kind of cruise costs thousands, but by combining Southwest Companion Pass flights, a Marriott Bonvoy free night certificate, and casino comps, our out-of-pocket cost was only about $1,700 total.

In this trip report, I walk through:

  • ✈️ Flights booked with points and the Companion Pass
  • 🏨 Pre-cruise hotel covered by Marriott Bonvoy
  • 🚢 Cruise fare, taxes, fees, and gratuities
  • 💡 How we saved more than $2,000 vs. retail value

We took a free Alaska cruise in 2022 thanks to casino comps and credit card points! In this video, I break down the full trip — from flights and hotels to the cruise itself — and show the real cost compared to retail pricing. Whether you already get casino offers or want to learn how, this episode is all about maximizing travel rewards so you can explore more for less.
